Relocation Benefits
Requests for relocation outside of company relocation initiatives are approved on a case by case basis. The benefits below apply to company mandated relocations due to transfer or promotion, or the opening of new offices/cafe locations.
Moving company and insurance coverage
DD&D provides and pays for an approved moving company to help transport your belongings and adequate insurance coverage to cover the cost of any of your personal items that may become damaged during the moving process.
Temporary housing
If an employee is unable to find their own accommodation in the time allotted to them prior to relocating, DD&D will provide temporary housing for a period of 45 days. This allows transferees additional time to find more adequate housing once relocated.
Auto travel reimbursement
If an employee has a personal vehicle that needs to be transported more than 400 miles, it is expected that it be towed as part of the moving process where possible, as the employee will typically be allotted coverage for flight and hotel during the moving process. If under 400 miles, the employee is expected to drive their vehicle to the new location, unless approval for a different method of transport has been previously documented and approved. Mileage reimbursement and meal coverage will be offered according to company policy.
